Manning renovated the existing Erato Street Cruise Terminal Complex located on the New Orleans Riverfront. The renovations focused on a new solution for flooring that would stand up to the high traffic the cruise terminal receives during disembarkation, a long-standing issue for the port. Manning’s practical solution was to break up the space into high and low traffic zones. The rubber flooring used in the high traffic zones was durable and also prevented fatigue for standing passengers. Custom carpet tiles were used in areas that received less foot traffic. The end result was a beautiful space that blended in with the existing architecture and materials, as well as a space that was practical from a maintenance perspective.
