The City of New Orleans Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance requires all universities within the city limits to submit an Institutional Master Plan (IMP) that must provide details for each structure (existing and planned) on the university’s campus or remote, plans for landscaping and stormwater management, signage, traffic circulation, and parking. The completed IMP must also contain a full set of architectural design standards and a written statement detailing how the improvements comply with all approval standards.
