Renovation of corporate operations for Cox Communications in New Orleans
As the country’s fifth-largest cable provider, Cox Communications set its sights on improving its New Orleans operations in order to meet increasing demand. To accomplish this goal, the telecommunications provider updated its local offices to support new technological advances and offer a wider range of services, including wireless communication and digital cable television.
Manning’s services renovated approximately a third of Cox Communications’ 42,000 square foot industrial office building. The project entailed the development and update of a programming study and a redesign of several areas of the building including the Customer Service Call Center, Service Center, Dispatch Operations, Management Information Systems, and other support spaces.
The project was phased to keep the offices operational throughout the process. Phase I included the renovation of the Customer Service Call Center, and Phase II encompassed the renovation of the Service Center, Dispatch, and Management Information Systems. Manning’s designers worked closely with Cox representatives and the constructor to ensure a smooth delivery.
