The planning and design for a 1,400 square foot Bus Rapid Transit transfer center on a 2.5 acre site is the first of its kind in the state of Louisiana. Manning led the planning assessment that considered location and feasibility, identifying pedestrian safety issues, right-of-way limitations, and utility impediments. Based on the planning study, Manning has completed construction documents for the new high-capacity bus transfer center that will support a nine-mile, high-capacity connection that links downtown to Louisiana State University and North Baton Rouge. The project is partially funded by a federal BUILD grant through the U.S. Department of Transportation.
