Manning spearheaded the vision for a speculative development of 914-920 Union Street in New Orleans’ Central Business District. The goal was to preserve the historic building and join it with new structures that together would create a mixed-use complex featuring ground-floor commercial space with residences on upper floors. The design focused on keeping both private and public spaces open and light while reinvigorating the streetscape. Manning developed the design with consideration of regulations, current conditions analysis, and available tax credits.
