Sneak Peek into the MSY North Terminal
Last week, Manning Architects took a field trip to observe the construction of the eleven bars and restaurants in the Louis Armstrong International Airport North Terminal designed by our team along with ICRAVE for Delaware North. Consequently, this provided a sneak peak of the current state of the airport construction, which we were delighted to get an early viewing of.
The North Terminal sits just above the existing runways for MSY and will serve the city well as a much brighter, more efficient, and easier to navigate space.

The venues we’ve worked on are located throughout the terminal and will provide a range of experiences for both the traveler grabbing a bite with only a few minutes to catch a flight and those with a little more time to enjoy the local dining and drink options the city has to offer one last time before takeoff.
We’ve valued getting to work with many New Orleans establishments, both fresh in the local food culture and well established as part of our city’s food traditions. Achieving the goal of expressing the unique and vibrant identities of each bar and restaurant within the confines of a fast paced, high traffic environment like an airport has been challenge, but working alongside ICRAVE, we feel like each venue brings something special to the travel of locals and visitors to New Orleans alike.
It was a pleasure to enjoy the fruits of that labor a little early, as a team, and with time to explore and discuss each design in detail. We’re certain our fellow Louisianans will be as pleased as we are with the way both the airport and our contribution to the dining experience within and are glad to be able to share them soon.
